Lena Rentel is an artist and designer working in wood, metal, textile to create small furniture objects, handheld artifacts, sculptures and drawings. She graduated from the Rhode Island School of Design with a BFA in Furniture Design and a concentration in Nature, Culture and Sustainability. Through stillness, kindness and reflection, she seeks to understand the world through both microscopic and macroscopic lenses to find patterns and structures in the environment. She humorously describes herself as a poetic scientist, is excited by stones, the sea and the forms of the natural world, and is working towards building through sustainability.
She was raised in San Diego, California and is currently located in San Francisco, California.
